We live in an age where you can get AI to give its legal opinions on the temporary restraining order against DOGE. Much better than getting some random persons opinion.
I just copied the judge’s order pdf text directly into chatgpt and got some pretty interesting results, and was able to ask follow up questions about specific orders:

Specifically i asked if they would have to destroy the data before the appeal, not sure how that works in this case, the answer was informative! Although not sure if entirely true. 
Seems a stretch given the order doesn’t actually force “irreversible destruction of data”, it forces “irreversible destruction of a *copy* of data”
True, i guess if they have the scripts to re-run on the raw data it should be fine even if they couldn’t stay the order.
People get very bent out of shape over TROs and these kinds of orders. They’re short term stays to keep things the way they are for a week or two until the court can consider the case fully. If some DOGE stuff gets delayed a week and people have to stop and think deeper that’s honestly a good thing. It’s not gonna stop them and they’ve cut things and caused disruption only to seek to restore them.
Exactly. After looking at it, it seems like a pretty harmless check of powers thing to make sure executive branch isn’t out of line?

definitely. also once training gets easier anyone can train on a set of accepted laws and rules and run their own (this is true open source ai, ai which you trained the weights yourself). This is basically a form of *automated reasoning* which can help us understand and point out when policies go awry.
When reading this my first thought was, lawyers can't bs you anymore. Using AI to learn is much easier than talking to experts. You can still consult with the experts but you don't have to jump in blindfolded.
Yeah i know nothing about this stuff. This is when ai is most misleading because you can’t spot hallucinations as easy like i can when programming, but it’s an ok start. I don’t know who i would go to to ask these questions without paying money
