Totally agree. I think a lot of people recommend it even though they thought it was boring. Just because it makes them seem smarter and it seems like the right thing to do, rather than trying to meet the person where they are at.
Get rich quick is what gets their attention
The average person will complain about getting poorer year over year then tell you the book that can save their life is “too boring” HFSP
I guess I’m not the average person. That book is a masterpiece, and not boring in the slightest. I’ve read it four times I think. Several of my friends have read it and become orange pilled.
That said, I haven’t had my wife read it because I know she would be bored by it. I recognize that a book that’s perfect for me as an engineer is not perfect for her.
To be an early adopter you need conviction. The difficulty is that to have conviction that bitcoin will succeed, you have you have a certain degree of technical understanding of the problem and how bitcoin solves it. Most people just use the heuristic of deferring to the wisdom of the crowd, so if you are too bored by a technical work such as the bitcoin standard maybe you’re doomed to be a late adopter.

Interesting point of view! The Bitcoin standard may be obscure to the average person, just like renting a yacht in Dubai, some people find it cumbersome, others find new ways to play it, different perspectives!
I think if all depends on the person, which is why having multiple options out there is great. She admitted that it was fate, because if she had read The Bitcoin Standard first she probably wouldn't have been orange pilled.
