I kinda think the political censorship on Twitter will actually come back worse than before.

Nah

I agree. In many ways this has already happened, but behind the scenes, and it has been exported more internationally.

Agreed. Sounds like Nostr may have a catalyst for faster adoption than expected

And this is still better than Brazil, where Telegram is about to be suspended by court order. The supreme court judge who gave the order also put a fine of ~0.8BTC per hour to whoever uses "technological subterfuge" to access it during the block.

This judge is called "sheriff" by its peers and he has been practicing political persecution for the past 3 years.

Also, our leftist government (along with our Supreme Court) is trying to pass a censorship bill so they can control all the narrative over social media.

Now that this place exists those platforms feel obsolete anyways

Deuce knows what’s up

I've never had a twitter account, but I can tell the other social media I'm on don't get used as much as they did. Twitter will slowly, then suddenly, die...

Why? What is happening?

New CEO who spent most of her time talking about “more serious moderation” and “we must foster a positive environment.”

The language was pretty transparent, and I’ve just been waiting for it to fall back into what it was anyway. Always felt this brief open period was only the eye of the storm.

Does that mean Bluesky will die and all their users will go back to Twitter?

They don't hate Twitter, they hate Elon.

Under the Orwellian “freedom of speech does not mean freedom of reach” talking point

That would be severely blackpilling

People still use Twitter?

Already has. I was banned for calling out Senator Sherman for lying. A permanent ban at that! I wish I knew how to follow more bitcoiners on nostr.
