It is only a reflection of what you interact with most. For me, I can’t help but get into arguments about politics, science, crypto, philosophy.
Every time on go on X, I see posts from people who post rage bait, and I always give in.
It is designed to be addictive, and to maximize your screen time. That’s how X makes money.
The beauty of Nostr is that there is no incentive for it to be addictive in this way.
there is definitely that incentive for clients, but no one is taking advantage of that yet
People would just use FOSS clients that don’t show ads.
Because the zap environment this make the place better for who stays here

I'm just starting out here but I can say that I'm increasingly convinced the algorithms are almost as much of a problem as censorship. If not more. The objective function for algos seems to be clicks and attn rather than knowledge. Huge issue.
