Yes.

Taking a holistic approach is key to determining the root cause of problems.

Western medicine treats in isolation. This is great ...for pharmaceutical companies!

Doctors keep handing out bandaids that mask symptoms and allow the underlying imbalance (emotional or physical) to move deeper into the tissues ... Causing more symptoms... Then doctors give out more bandaids...

Replace bandaids with pharmaceuticals that have side effects, and add kickbacks from pharma to incentivize doctors to prescribe...and seems like going to a doctor is hazardous to your health.

It's so broken.

In fact, centenarians have something in common, they don't use drugs and almost never need to visit a medical center.

Makes perfect sense to me. But I'm biased πŸ˜‚

I suffered from bad migraines when I turned 21. Probably stress of being a young adult, trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, university exams and working to pay off my student debt etc.

I went to doctor and was given strong headache/pain killer medication which only made my migraines worse after trialling the medication. So I started doing all kinds of alternative things like acupuncture and hot saunas. Magically my migraine symptoms started to improve. So from then on I never been to see my doctor since.

Love to hear this!

You identified the root cause and found your own cure. Bravo πŸ‘

That is the essence of ayurveda.

βœ¨πŸ™

I still had eczema though. I then heard on a podcast a testimony of someone curing their skin disorder through eating only meat. That was my motivation for starting carnivore as I have mild eczema my whole life.

6 weeks of eating meat, dairy and eggs my skin clearer up for first time in years.

Is it working?

In Ayurveda, migraines are generally caused by excess pitta (fire)...as are Skin eruptions (Eczema, acne, etc)

The antidote is:

Bitter foods/herbs as they are cooling and tend to cleanse the liver (leafy greens, Neem, guduchi)

But also, addressing the root cause. If your constitution is pitta predominant, you likely are driven and don't take breaks. This causes too much heat in the blood.

Taking time to exercise, or do acupuncture or yoga or breathing exercises can bring balance.

When you are in balance, you can eat anything.

Fully healed after 3 months now. Starting noticing big improvements after 6 weeks. I also was getting a lot of sunlight exposure as well which is meant to be good for the skin health as well.

Awesome. There are many paths to health. βœ¨πŸ™

Curious if there were any other changes in your stress levels or physical activity during the three months?

I found taking up swimming for 30 minutes followed by a hot sauna 3x week helped a lot when I had migraines. Overtime my migraine episodes just became less frequent.

If I ever get a bad headache nowadays it’s usually because I eaten something not good for me.

The important thing is that you are making connections to how food and lifestyle affect your health. Then making mindful decisions to create positive change.

Sounds like to you're on the right track βœ¨πŸ™

Your ayuveda philosophy works. I can attest.
