TL;DR go walk and eat good food

It's dumb, as a person who was (and still is a bit) overweight, there is no short cut. Track your food and exercise, calories in and calories out. It's math and science, lots of protein means you build more muscle and then you burn more calories faster. I lost 70+ lbs just by eating more protein and less carbs, walking, and doing a little weight lifting. I quit walking and ate crappier and put on some weight, now I'm getting back in to the swing of things and am happier about life.

Let us not forget about people shitting themselves because of the ozempic and wegovy. People don't learn how to eat with surgeries and these drugs, so they're always sick and malnourished because they're not absorbing the nutrients they need from food and won't/can't take necessary supplements. I have several people in my life who have done gastric bypass surgery and ones who are on the drugs none are healthy except the one person who watches what she eats and walks every day (but she barely has any hair and it is dry and unhealthy).

This is a passion issue of mine in case you couldn't tell 😂. Sorry for the rant 🫂💜.

😅🤣pretty sure this is the first time I've seen you get "triggered" like this.

Lol, I try to be chill but this is a button for sure. I was fat and I was lazy, then I wasn't. No silver bullet, no magic potion, it wasn't hard but it wasn't easy either...it was a lifestyle change, and as an addict to sugar and processed foods you have to want to change just like drug or alcohol addicts. Give yourself grace and do something instead of nothing, like eating 2 cookies instead of a whole pack. Small goals in the beginning make huge changes in the end.

Agreed my love! And well said

Lifestyle changes are always a brutal transition, from my experience. Alcohol and drugs were a serious issue for me. I didn't quit drinking, obviously. But, obtaining the discipline needed to slow down to just once or twice a week rather than almost all day, everyday was VERY tough. Anyway, good thing you had Cheese Sr. for support. Also, now you have a little extra from Cheese Jr. to help you stay healthy 😁🫂.

💯 the support system is key. Happy you found a happy medium!!

the problem is the food, and the pharma-food-industrial-complex

when people eat good food they don't get fat

the main way that this came about was through fiat currency and democracy enabling industrial lobbies to legalise poisoning people so they can sell them a cure

Yep, and it seems like social media has compounded it all.

I'm currently going over a battery of medical appointments and tests to determine what I can and cannot do and eat (preventive) because I need to drop over 30 pounds, and flat out refuse to use any type of medication or procedure for this purpose.

Calorie counting and walking is what worked for me. It really became more of being conscious of what I was putting in my body over time than strict counting. We always had and still have frozen fruit around for treats, I ate a ton of napa cabbage and sugar snap peas to satisfy the crunch cravings in the beginning. Good luck to you!!
