Creatine an hour before workout. Protein powder anytime you want, ideally 3 times a day as well as your meals, post workout is ideal but anytime is good.

Just take it every morning after breakfast. The timing matters less than being fully loaded.

I prefer HCl to monohydrate; it's far more bioavailable, doesn't require pounding water, and easier on the gut.

Just a single capsule a day.

If you're convinced you need protein powder, at least get the GOAT.

What makes you unconvinced/ what do you advise over protein powder? More meat consumption (including organs)?

I'm not convinced we need very much protein. Mentzer went high carb, mod protein, low fat. If I remember correctly he ate less than 100g of protein.

Get your micronutrients in (liver, oysters, egg), get some (ideally gelatinous) meat in, then consume high quality carbohydrates.

The idea that you need "at least 1g of protein per kg of body weight" is not consistent with reality.

I suspect it's closer to 0.25-0.5g.

He looks like a genius… definitely something to aspire to… NOT!

He was right.

Interesting. I'll explore further. 👍

Plenty of evidence supporting benefits from regular intake of creatine, beyond the customary pre workout routine.

Make sure to drink plenty of water!

Never, just eat more meat

I do eat a a lot of meat, sometimes 2lbs of red per day, but always assume I need more and use protein powder in smoothies to mix it up

way way way too much

Gotta eat something ….

if you eat well you don't need protéine powder. you just take creatine daily. it's a type of carbohydrate and it works by building up. it's also produced naturally by your body iirc (fact check last sentence 🤣😇)

Yes, that is correct, we do naturally produce creatine
