I tried with a different blog that is not installed in a subdirectory and I get the same issue. It must be an issue with the iris website.
Unfortunately Amethyst doesn't have an option to add a media server and I dont use apple to try with the application you are using.

ok I’m sure if Iris supports nip96 media servers but I did just try it Coracle and stumbled on a few issues which are now fixed in 0.10-beta:
