Is there a list of services that sell/lease channels? I want to rent an LN channel for my latest project and used to use these services:
- Bitrefill [but they stopped doing it]
- Deezy [but they stopped too]
- Voltage [they require an account now]
- LNBig [only option left?]

When I need just a quick channel I open to boltz exchange then do an on-chain swap for half the channel
yeah but that requires several extra base layer transactions:
- tx to put base layer funds on the node
- tx to open a channel
- 2 additional txs to do a swap out (Boltz uses a 2 transaction swap protocol)
4 transactions is not a huge deal right now when fees are low but there's no reason to be that inefficient with chain space
With LNBig and its competitors, there's only 1 base layer tx: the one that opens the channel

I opted to use one of their competitors precisely because the friction was lower, no need to create an account, log in (even "log in with node") and then wonder if they're gonna spam me or sell my info later

You can login signing a message with your node, no need email or other info.

They absolutely do not need me to create an account, they just want an easy way to log my purchase history and send me messages that I don't want
I used one of their competitors that didn't make me jump through hoops to use it
The channel history of my node is public, i don't give them any other information, they need to be sure my node identity to help users to coordinate in the Liquidity Swap
I mean they want to log the times when I purchased a channel. Not my node's "entire" purchase history, just the times when I bought something "from them." They also want to direct me into a section of the webpage (my "account" page) where they can send me notifications. They can then see if I've read those notifications or not, and know that I didn't do this through an API, but manually. I think it's all part of an effort to get more data about me, and they do not need to have that data. Unnecessary data collection is hostile.
I understand what you mean, but they doesn't sell channels , they try to connect node runners.
It's not a great information if i read the notifications.
