casually dropping some cash in a github ticket🤯 🤯 🧡

- electrs (for Sparrow and other wallets)
- LND and AlbyHub for payments (using Zeus on mobile)
- BTCPayServer + Nostr plugin to receive donations, zaps and a lightning - address
- Public-Pool for mining
- Uptime-Kuma for uptime monitoring
and more!
I don't make tutorials (yet), but am happy to answer any questions you have.
🚨 New release 2.7.0 is here! 🚨
v2.7.0 is a stabilization update that boosts reliability while bringing a fresh look & smoother performance.
🟠 Enhanced Node Integration
🎨 Refreshed UI
⚙️ 1 Config/Network
🤯 Smarter Coordinators
🛠️ Many Bug Fixes
👉https://github.com/WalletWasabi/WalletWasabi/releases/tag/v2.7.0
🟠 Enhanced Bitcoin Node Integration
Bitcoin node connectivity is now more seamless. RPC endpoint handling has been refined for smoother setup, with support for onion-service RPC interfaces.
Additionally, Wasabi no longer bundles bitcoind binaries, while block downloading has been simplified and made more dependable.
🎨 Refreshed UI with Icons & Animations
The interface has been given a polished update. Subtle animations and a balanced color scheme breathe new life into Wasabi’s design, making it both cleaner and less aggressive.
⚙️ Dedicated Config Files Per Network
Each network Mainnet, Testnet4, and Regtest — now has its own independent configuration file. Switching to test networks is easier and your preferences are always preserved.
🤯 Stronger & Smarter Coordinators
Coordinators are automatically published as onion services right out of the box: no manual Tor setup needed. Coordinators can now also run on pruned nodes in blocksonly mode.
Plus, fallback fee rate providers were implemented (mempool.space and blockstream.info), ensuring accurate fee estimates, even if your node can’t provide them.
🛠️ Refinements & Fixes
- Full-RBF by default: All transactions are treated as replaceable.
- Resilient HTTP communication: Smarter retry handling makes connections sturdier.
- Seed recovery fixes: Annoying typing issues are resolved.
- Sharper fee estimations: Precise decimal calculations with no rounding loss.
- NBitcoin updated to 8.0.14: Latest Bitcoin protocol improvements included.
- Clearer terminology: “Backend” is now called “Indexer.”
- Lean codebase: Legacy components like TurboSync and BlockNotifier removed.
- Safer Coinjoin handling: Excluded Coins can only be changed when Coinjoin is paused.
- Donation Button removed from Main Screen: The button is gone, but donations are still possible via the search bar.
- Conflux by default: Better Tor configuration for improved connectivity.
🚨 2.7.0 also available on the Start9 Community registry now!🚨
It's only warning because thunderhub hasn't updated the supported version range, it's working just fine. I think there is an update of thunderhub that bumps the version range, not sure if it's on main or beta registry, but using the current version will work ok.
what's the issue? I'm running both on latest versions just fine
I quickly checked your notes and the tailscale docs. to run the docker container you need at least those --cap-add=net_admin and --device /dev/net/tun, neither of those can be done at the moment afaik.
Lol. This guy is fiat brainwashed.
"When new money stops flowing into bitcoin, what happens?"
Bitcoin is the new money. It's not about new money coming in, it's about hodlers not coming out.

Hodl until you need to buy something, spend it, work to earn new coins, rinse and repeat.
nostr:npub14mgq3zmg7wc4g5exw6yztlfaypapcvee06quc5msdqujpa6e5d4sztw00t is there already a package or better solution that obsoletes this?
nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll 0.4.0 dropping soon?
0.4.0 is getting closer every day 🤣 I'm not sure about tailscale, the '--network=host' and '--cap-add=NET_ADMIN' is not something you can do at the moment. I'll ask the team if there are any plans to add support for this. (a wireguard server would need this too afaik)

If you know how to work with cloudflare tunnel dashboard, you can use my wrapper of cloudflared for startos: https://github.com/remcoros/cloudflared-startos
only needs the tunnel api key, all configuration of tunnels is done inside the CF dashboard.
Here are some internal hostnames+port of some startos services to use:

If you don't mind tunneling through Cloudflare infra, their zero trust tunnels work very good to expose your local web services on a clearnet domain. All on their free tier. I have a wrapper of the cloudflared app for StartOS on my github repo.
I'm doing this with my BTCPayServer instance, also includes a lightning address and the Nostr plugin for zaps. Works great!
It's not a built-in option of StartOS, but since it allows access over SSH, you can upload/download whatever you want using ssh or scp. You'll have to know your way around linux and the StartOS filesystem structure.
Here is some documentation to migrate the blockchain TO startos: https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/service-guides/bitcoin/blockchain-copy#blockchain-copy
(you'll have to do the reverse when you want to copy it from startos to another machine)
Very interesting. @nopara73 had an account in Coinbase which he hadn't used in more than ten years. Then, suddenly he received an email saying that he had been deplatformed because his account had engaged in prohibited uses.

As you should all already know, exchanges spy on you not only before depositing but also, and even more importantly, after you withdraw from them. That means that if you did something that they don't like, like coinjoining a UTXO that they know was yours, they will close your account.

We really can't have nice things do we 😭
`git clone [repository url]` now you have a backup.
"Git" is not github/gitlab/gitea, those are complete git management servers all using git and adding (project)management features on top, meant to be hosted on a server (like startos). But just "git" is a decentralized source control management tool.
what model? I have a NUC13ANHI5, running stable for over a year now, and I use it quiet a lot.
Intel (now Asus) NUC with proxmox installed and StartOS in a virtual machine is amazing.
Even have room left for a docker VM (for stuff not on StartOS) and a small VM for development. NUC 13 Pro, i5, 2TB nvme, 2 TB SSD, 64GB Ram.
