I concur. That was a sad day for me. Actually i think ln.tips was my first lightning wallet ever. When i realized i could use it from zeus and bluewallet i even probably nutted

this is often the story of early stage tech. don't get too attached to anything b/c it could change every 6-18 months. :\
I would rather not have to rewrite code all the time so I take a little longer to try things out before I am sure with what i want and hitting 'Go'. The end goal is zero maintenance but getting it right also comes with years of experience and trial and error.

LN Tipbot saved my ass multiple times when i had a node down and i needed to tx. i sure wish it were still around. props to Calle :D
It was my favorite too because it was so easy to use the API with LNbits.
My lightningd wallet is fine.

Lightningd usually just use lightning-cli listfunds if I need an on chain address. But my channel partners are cool. Lol I run a node. So I’m not really worried by this. But I do use alby.
Yeah I have Alby right now. I don’t personally run a node, but my husband does so I’m hoping he will work something out for us 🙏
You guys should check "Isolated" connection type in Alby Hub's Connections. It effectively means your husband could share his node with you, while you're having a separate wallet and balances

I know I have to start learning the node and cold storage management, but the complicity and tediousness of learning it… *sigh*
And…that means I’m gonna have to listen to puzzles. He is not the best teacher at simplifying what he knows.
I’m actually writing an article for the next issue of stackchain magazine that kind of gives a tarded walkthrough on how to set up a CLN node and system services. And other neat things I’ve learned along the way since running mine.

If you have your own node, connect it to that, otherwise let your phone be the node with Olympus as the LSP. Zeus pay gives you access to zaps etc... All self custodial

Lightning isn't meant to store your savings, so you only want a little to play with. But make sure it's yours.
