Grateful for your responses to my post from last night. I’m learning a few things:
- Israel-Palestine is super complex and understandably a sensitive topic
- Social media is not a good platform for me to share short burst ideas about complicated matters like this
Two things I would like to clarify:
- I wasn’t trying to justify Israeli government policy or military actions.
- I have a lot of empathy for suffering on the Muslim side of this conflict, too.
social media is for saying gm, posting wisdom on fortune cookie level, and sharing food pics ... everything else causes a shitstorm anyway
Not just that, the format/context also doesn’t lend itself to particular types of thought sharing

Yeah there’s an axiom I believe to be true that goes something like, ‘If you took all the weapons away from the Jews, every Jew would be dead the next day. If you took all the weapons away from the Palestinians, there’d be a Palestinian state the next day.’
