Anyone have experience with Casa, Unchained, (other?) guided multisig solutions? #asknostr
Discussion
Whats your questions?
Ive researched both, and tend to recommend Unchained for those needing basic support, or for retirement, or basic inheritance package.
Thanks. My needs are fairly basic but Iโm interested in an inheritance package. Sounds like unchained could be a good option.
Unchained offers a DIY package where they've prepared basic guidance, but you'll need to do the legwork on the appropriate steps for title transfer and key succession. A checklist is included to walk you through the process. This also comes with their more expensive hand-holding concierge onboarding.

Note: I have not personally reviewed the contents of the package and cannot attest to its thoroughness or suitability for your jurisdiction. For just getting started with multisig and collaborative custody providers, I wrote about both Casa and Unchained in the past. These have been open sourced and available at the following which includes screenshots so you know what your getting into before KYCing for an account

Hope this helps.
Super helpful. Thank you!
Also look into #Shamir Secret Sharing. I sometimes use Super! Shamir.
Just for example. You can have a 3 of 4 that is also a 4 of 4. Which is also a 4 of 8.
Figure out the above, and you too shall know the ring of power..๐๐๐งก๐๐ฆ
"One Ring to rule them all"..๐
Thanks! Iโll look into it
This is extremely valuable, been thinking about it for a while
One of the rules in self custody is to not put your coins in an environment that exceeds your own technical skills.
Can you clarify what you mean by that? Do you mean I should be comfortable setting up my own multisig before exploring these options?
It's a balancing act
seems like if I wanted to borrow against my #bitcoins they have a very high interest rate at unchained
