My son offered to stay completely off his smartphone for as long as I would not drink coffee...

Would you take the deal?

You should talk to your son and understand why he wants you with a headache, because without coffee that will brew

He's claiming that my addiction to coffee is as bad as his to his smartphone, and that it'd be more difficult for me to refrain from drinking coffee than for him to stay off his phone.

He didn't want to take the bet, though, when I included playing Minecraft on the laptop... 😂

Good job, but tell him coffee ain't addiction is a healthy habit that may keep dad along for more time, good against, parkinson's, dementia and Alzheimer's disease, all brewed in a hot pot

Basically a magic black water ☕️

Life elexir is what I call it 😁

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm telling him, but he's just pointing to my headaches and me being tired if I don't drink coffee. That's proof enough for him

That's it enough is enough, lets put the kiddo in our team, give him some coffee 😂😂😂

I've tried, but he won't. He's the same with alcohol for which I'm very happy

Ok you can't always, take the booze W and carry on, one day coffee will win by it's own

Coffee will definitely win, he's considering tobecome a student of medicine... 😂

Easy win in first semester

Hmmm....

Fuck no.

Coffee is a good thing, smartphones are bad. This is a nonsense deal.

I'm with you all the way.

He is arguing though that if I'm not drinking coffee I'll be having a headache and be all sleepy, which for him is proof enough that it's a bad addiction

He's not wrong it's an addiction.

I just happen to think it's a net positive dependency, where a smartphone is a net negative.

I dont have a problem with dependencies if they are things I like that help me. I'm dependent on food, should I give that up, Sats paa BTC's son? If I don't eat I get a bad headache and so sleepy that I eventually die lolol

negotiating/ maybe tuff love is an option

Coffee is not a bad habit.

That's what I'm telling him as well, and that's even backed by science
