I worked part time at Blockbuster and remember checking each tape in and rewinding some and they had a fee of some kind at one point to encourage people to rewind the film.

Rewind the tape. Good for movie nights, you can start the next movie while the one you just watched is rewinding. I remember when every house had one of these 😂

I've never seen that before and I used to record my own shows and movies on black cassettes haha
My brother and I watched Beverly Hills cop on vhs so many times we had to frequently open the tape cassette up and repair the tape to the spool

I remember in school some kid put an apple in the PE teacher's exhaust pipe of his car. He was fucking pissed. He gave everyone a lecture about safety and how he could have died with his family in the car. He took up the whole hour and no one in the class even knew who did it. Not a single calorie was burned that day😂

So many public school teachers are full of shit and lie for power. In my school we had one of those PE teachers that was texting with girl students and got run out of town. All PE teachers are sus until proven otherwise.

My age is definitely showing because I didn't know auto rewind was a newer feature. All my VHS players would auto rewind at the end of the movie. I guess I had it good for a millennial 😂
We have an age difference but not that much I think. I remember seeing the ads in the RadioShack flyer. It was amazing, you just had to wait a bit after watching the movie and it was ready to bring back to blockbuster

I don’t think the speed increased necessarily. But the one we had before didn’t rewind when you finished watching. You had to remember to do it. The newer ones just did it automatically after the watch
