in my experience with USA and SEA devs, two developers can have the same level of technical experience, but when developing software for a western market, the cultural gaps put the SEA devs at a disadvantage and meant the project manager had to do much more work to bridge the gap.

That's true.

On the other hand, it's nearly impossible to tell which npubs are coming from where, so long as they all write in English, so the Sat Economy Devs are probably easier to integrate because they're a self-selected group.

I was working for big engineering corporations, like Toyota or Airbus, and they have such a strong internal culture, that they can move people around internationally.

So, you need a subculture, I guess. Which Nostr has.
