🇺🇸 THIS ROBOT BUILDS HOUSES WHILE HUMANS HAVE LUNCH

Some guy spent $500,000 on a giant machine that literally prints houses with concrete.

It cranks out walls designed to last 300 years, with perfect slots for pipes and wires, plus insulation and steel reinforcements for extra strength.

No crew needed, no coffee breaks. It runs nonstop and cuts building costs by up to 45%.

The best part? You could move in within a few days to 3 weeks.

Try getting that from a contractor who shows up late holding iced coffee.

Yeah, this isn’t just a house. It’s the cheat code for the future.

They’re not aesthetically pleasing. They look like communism houses. 😂

I agree, but considering how far 3d printing has come, you can imagine future iterations of this could be incredible. Really intricate secret rooms and interior design that would be impossible without super high end wood working/carpentry. I'm all for building cathedrals again, but I also like the idea of building long lasting homes at scale for the average people. Really it's about the resolution of the printer right? We're not far from 3d printing hot metal and other materials at scale.

where's that meme that says "hey chat gpt, let's see you finish this construction project"

Your pod in your 15 minute SMART city will be printed... The only place this tech would really work is on Mars where everything has to be mined and constructed without human being there....

lol ok hold on, there’s clearly human work involved here. All the finishing, setting up the machine, etc. it’s just different kinds of work.

Feels a little hyperbolic to say it’s completely free of any labor.

Yes! …but no. It just does the walls. Foundation, interior, and roof still need to be done. Did I mention the interior? That’s the most time-consuming / labor-expensive part.

BUT! It builds in concrete for the same price as your traditional “stick” frame and hollow walls.

This makes the house tougher and with way more thermal mass - vastly decreasing heating/cooling costs/needs.
