This stuff gets turbo charged when you start looking at the flora and fauna of the soil and how they interact with all of this. Especially mycorhizzea because it's a straight up comms network for plants that can stretch over square miles.

I’m so intrigued! Buddha and I have oddly been looking at land and we’re prioritizing our decision based on soil quality but we JUSTA started researching it a week ago. What is the most sought after soil in the us? Or the most valuable? Where is it? And at what depth is considered good soil depth? 🤔
The best soil is from regenerative farms and ranches. We bought next to pocket of these farms and the soil health is rich and the air quality is pure. Stay far away from monoculture factory farms.
As far as where is the best soil, anyone can create rich top soil through composting, no tilling, cover crops, animal grazing etc.
America only has 40 years left of top soil because of the obvious reasons. 1% of US farmland is organic the rest is being molested by large food corps.
For more info check out:
That’s precisely why we’ve been researching! We want to buy land and sell the top soil from it. This is an entirely brand new Rabit hole for us, so thank you both for all the insight! This is so awesome! 🔥

Nice! Yes it’s the second side of the coin, pun intended. Civilizations either rise or fall due to sound money and soil health.
That is so fascinating.. I had no idea the importance of soil health, I guess I never thought about it in that depth..
I am curious.. is there lead in soil by chance?
Soil Science is indeed fascinating. Touched upon it during my Biology degree way back in the 90s - one interesting factoid was/is how golf course management results in some of the least biodiverse soils out there.
This makes complete sense to me. The grass at a golf course seems almost fake and extremely compact. It’s cut before it has the opportunity to generate any real nutrients and so it’s not really having the chance to recharge and filter out pollutants and groundwater reserves.
