Based! Love it!

But lets not forget that the compromised Core devs deliberately didn't fix the inscription spam.

It is fixed only in Bitcoin Knots.

Wow! Nick just laying it out there

Run Knots! It is a very simple understanding! You have to be dross, if you state you don't understand why v30 is harmful.

Lovit

Its about fee incentives. Nick is wrong

Giving context to the Bitcoiners to know who is supporting the compromised Core devs.

Bitcoin culture is compromised. Nobody demands proof of reserves from saylor. Everyone is willing to use custodial lightning wallets, etfs, cashu. Does the chain even matter if you never use it? All anyone cares about is NGU not sovereignty

Bitcoin Culture is attacked by the propaganda from shitcoiners like you.

Bitcoin is used on-chain and via Lightning actively. Zapping on Nostr is a culture on its own.

Your not a bitcoiner if your not addressing paper bitcoin

No, it’s not

Ever do inscriptions yourself?

Lmao

This is a distraction from paper bitcoin. All of you retards are mad about this while the supply passes 21million.

Monero shitcoiner alert.

He’s not wrong in this case. Both issues are important, but the one with Core 30 is a more immediate danger.

Yes. Him saying this is a distraction is a distraction

Of course paper Bitcoin is a problem but has far far lower risk than in Gold because its much easier to verify.

Bitcoin is much easier to self hodl and to transact freely peer to peer.

It’s more nuanced than this. nostr:nprofile1qqsrzm5ta57f3jrhvyyrcrh2vck3amfkhz4pnsw8uq404r7g4wsqfjspr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqpzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ucd7y6jz has written extensively on the subject. Maybe check this article out: https://controlplanecapital.com/p/what-most-bitcoiners-are-wrong-about

The tldr is that the state is quietly domesticating Bitcoin via wrappers and rate limits, and most Bitcoiners aren’t paying any attention.

The ā€œpaper bitcoinā€ fud making the rounds again

So tiresome

Yes

Well, ask a silly question, get a………

He’s a prickly pear. I have a hard time caring about this issue. I don’t believe the op return change was optimal, but the status quo is clearly suboptimal. Simply leaving the default blank and forcing users to choose a limit would have been wiser.

> I have a hard time caring about this issue

Then you haven’t paid enough attention.

Nah. It’s that most people have a misunderstanding about how op return is a minor part of the problem of spam. Don’t get me wrong, I’m anti-spam, but op return isn’t gonna solve the problem. I don’t think opening up op return to larger than the limits for other methods of spam is wise, but leaving it smaller than more harmful spamming methods is unjustifiable too.

CSAM is already there on chain, so don’t fall for the appeal to emotion. Bitcoin matters more than CSAM anyhow and if anything, tx broadcast allows one more method of crime fighting. But bitcoin node runners aren’t criminals just because ā€œoh please won’t someone think of the children?ā€

That said, hard fork to make transacting expensive might be the only solution to spam. And I’m not definitely opposed to Luke’s long held view that 300 kB blocks are best.

Now I’m sure you’re not paying attention.

Lol…and now I’m sure you don’t understand stuff but feel a lot.

Nothing to do with feelings. I just can’t be bothered explaining why officially sanctioned large OP_RETURNs are the rhetorical equivalent of the CEO of Bitcoin coming out and saying, ā€œYou know, until Core 29 Bitcoin was money, but now it’s also distributed data storage.ā€ I could also explain how adding more uses for money dilutes its monetary premium, but that’s for people who actually think past surface level. You don’t even distinguish between CSAM hidden through data obfuscation schemes and CSAM in cleartext that’s easily accessible without any tools.

You are clearly motivated by feelings if this is your technical belief.

Each time Core sympathisers can’t argue with common sense, they default to technical reasoning. I’ve played that game and it’s not interesting anymore.

Busy saving lives at the moment. I could have a long discussion and persuade you to see the folly of your way of thinking, but that will take time that I don’t have.

That said, your heart is in the right place. And have no doubt: everyone agrees with the desires of your heart here.

Sounds more like someone frustrated that can't contain his anger than someone based

Arguing with stupid people can have that effect

He’s been plenty patient

Eventually you have to speak candidly

It’s really un fucking believable that this many huge personalities and influencers like Livera are openly and completely doing everything they can to stop Bitcoin….

Shitcoins spam, treasury company scams.

If you realize the goal of these people is to drive new plebs away from holding and using Bitcoin in self custody it makes more sense.

My nigga

In a world of ā€œboth sides are frustratingā€

Ive always enjoyed Stephans work, so to me that’s a pretty harsh response

It’s deserved

Fair enough. Each to their own
