We Brits are very sophisticated and would never use a VPN for such things 🧐
Privacy is not a crime. Mass adoption of VPNs says everything.
How is Nostr affected by the censorship?
Nostr is like Noah’s Ark and the people on board are gazing down upon all the victims drowning in a global flood of authoritarian censorship.
“Online safety”
The same people that rolled out a medicine that was “safe and effective”, clearly wasn’t, and has proven not to be, now wants to keep you “safe” online
Come on
At best audacious. At worst, nefarious, control hungry, disrespectful, and anti-human
VPN pls
If govs behave bad enough, people might actually start to care about #privacy

lol -
protect your identify, hide amongst a crowd with your BTC
Crowd - crickets chirp
Access your porn without logging in
Crowd - WHO HAS BEST VPN?!?!!
i guess the uk gov will think this is good for gdp!
This is insane!
I've been looking at getting a VPN. If i remember righly wasn't there an issue with Proton storing data awhile ago ??
Or am i misremembering??
The UK's Online Safety Act is a huge win for building awareness of the value of #privacy.
It's irrelevant to those who already protect their privacy. And for those who don't, it's a touch-the-stove opportunity to learn why they should.
I signed up yesterday too
