It’s not crazy at all; you just don’t understand it. If he can prove in court that he is the owner of Bitcoin, then he can use the court to force changes to it, and extort companies through the fraudulent Patents he has managed to secure. He will make a fortune. How can you not know this?

i just don‘t think that he can prove anything

You’re not paying attention. He doesn’t have to prove anything. That’s the problem, genius.

thank you

I don’t know this, the courts can stop bitcoin?

Please don’t be stupid.

I think the court can order it, github can enforce the repo change, but nodes will continue to validate transactions and not many will update to such a ridiculos version. Those that do will make a fork that will - like the rest - over time trend to 0.

I am way out of my lane here and probably naive about this but assuming he wins and declared by court the owner of Bitcoin, he would then technically own a million coins, but it would make us all shareholders as well. With a million he would not even own 51%, he'd have no control still to make any changes. He'd be rich probably assuming he even has access to them.

Other parts of the world are not really following this story but i assume there is more to this than just my simple approach

Your mistake is thinking there is a “court”. US courts don’t recognise UK judgements. This is taking place in an irrelevant venue, a UK Court, which has no power outside the UK.

Not only that, but imagine I’m trying to make a judgment on bitcoin… OK let’s go tell Mr. Satoshi to make the changes we need…

Oh, wait, you can’t… Consensus will immediately swat that shit out

Imagine *them* not I’m 🙄
