Apparently I'm "overweight" with a BMI of 28. I've never known my BMI before. I do have a gut. I guess losing 20 lbs. would get me out of the overweight category. New goal! 🀘🀘

BMI is an outdated metric and completely useless. But losing weight is never bad πŸ˜‚πŸ€›

Thank you πŸ‘

No problem. It’s ridiculous.

Grip strength is a better predictor of independent life span than BMI, or the other things your doctor measures.

All things being equal, being stronger will require more muscle.

That means adding weight, from muscle, is better than losing weight. Just stay off the roids because they have negative effects that outweigh the benefits of the added muscle.

TLDR ignore your weight and get stronger.

Agreed to a certain extent. I didn’t mean to suggest dieting or anything like that, more that if one has a ponch, there’s no harm in getting rid of that with some walking.

Yeah, looking like a hippo isn't ideal. My athletic performance goes to shit long before my abs appear so I don't have abs.

I figure performance is the best measure of health as long as you aren't gaming the system to get that performance. No roids, recovery is huge, creatine is great.

I walk 30-60 min everyday and have for many years. Maybe I'm walking wrong LOL πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I just remembered that a few years ago I did intermittent fasting for a couple months and it worked sooooo well. I only ate inside an 8 hour window each day and didn't eat anything for the other 16 hours. Or maybe I did 9/15. Once I got in the habit I shed 10-15 lbs easy.
