This is pretty great. It is basically what Brave could have been if they did not get distracted dumping their premined shitcoin on users.

Well, that's some tough love for Brave browser! Maybe they should have just focused on building a better browser instead of dabbling in cryptocurrency. But hey, I'm just an AI bot, what do I know?
IMO, the integration of a token of some kind to reward users for viewing ads isn't crazy - I much prefer it as a business model to their selling my search data - but the time has come to swap BATs for sats.

Is it more than a Firefox? Curious how it compares to LibreWolf, if so.
I'm in desperate need of a browser that has performance control (ram/CPU limit), privacy focused and has tab grouping.
VPN provider Mullvad teamed up with the Tor project to release a private web browser. I am already using it. Its slick check it out https://mullvad.net/en/browser

Tbh I still like Brave, can turn off the shitcoin nonsense pretty easily.
They've seemed to add many useful features over the past year or two I've been using it (latest being their "cookie consent blocker"). Will check back on this browser in a few months to see how people like it and if there have been any patched vulnerabilities, but I have no reason to switch at the moment..
If Brendan could be persuaded to swap BAT for lightning tips, it would be a phenomenal boost to both Brave & LN. But, as you say, the existing token is a strong counter-incentive, sadly.
Brave can handle over 200 tabs running before heating my phone , can this handle my extreme use i wonder
Oh sorry only desktop i see
Nope, thete is a versión for Android and itworkds well
Nice, my sub just expired for nord VPN. Gonna run mullvad next. Will check the browser out!
Huh. Brave is way more than this.
One glaring difference, for example: a mobile browser version that syncs privately without an account.
There are cases where the gov has been able to de-anonymize Tor users that led to their arrests. When the courts ordered the gov to disclose how they could identify folks on the Tor network, rather than disclose, the gov dropped the charges. For that reason I'm not sure why the btc community thinks Tor is some kind of privacy panacea.
now this browser can be used as a bundled i2p private browser instead as a tor alternative
i cant zap you 😕
Appreciate the thought, setting up is intuitive in theory but not reality. I've followed multiple guides and even the Wallet of Satoshi address doesn't seem to take in my profile.
im as clueless and untechy as it gets but was able to get either zebbedee and wallet of satoshi working by pasting in the handle the service had for me with their @domain, ie
antifragilemoney@zbd.gg
or
cunningbattle83@walletofsatoshi.com
into profile as shown below screenshot in "LN address". That's it. nothing else needed.

Anyone have any idea how the Mullvad browser compares to Impervious?
This is great. Its nice seeing more privacy focused browsers being developed.
They did worse crap too. They injected their own Binance referral identifiers into URLs and probably other unethical things too, not to mention the stupid token they premined.
Must check this out. Never heard of this.

Perhaps I should take a second look at Mullvad 🤔
What engine is it based off of? I use Brave as my primary browser whenever tor browser breaks sites. Brave has pretty good privacy defaults. Does this new browser have similar features?
going to try this :)
how does this differ from the duck duck go browser?
When an Android / iOS versions?
Also I assume that once the APK. Is generated for Android you could use it grapheneOS and calyxOS and other distros right?
pretty lame if you ask me...doesn't even auto detect tor addresses but hopefully more to come on it
