Facing objective uncertainty with courage and humility is far braver than any level of deluded certainty - for or against the fairy tales used as a psychological crutch.

Is pure empiricism not a psychological crutch?

Uncertainty ≠ pure empiricism. It’s literally the acknowledgment that no human (or being for that matter) understands the deeper realities of existence then confidently accepting that fact. It’s the only honest perspective.

Religions are man-made fictions that scared people delude themselves into believing to alleviate suffering associated with uncertainty.

You're making a certain knowledge claim in this very statement while categorically denying certainty. See the problem?

Not having the comfort of knowing I will see again my beloved ones that have passed, is not easy. There not one day I wish I could lay down my life to speak again even for a minute with my sister. I don't belive that this alone makes me courageous, but definitely is not an argument supporting moral cowardice for not being a Christian.
