If you could buy whatever you need on nostr marketplaces, would you use it?

Yes.
Yes. But will need better organization... categories, filters, ratings... I'm looking forward to it. Bye bye Amazon

Didn't know about that - thanks!
(Would be better if it didn't block connections from Tor nostr:npub15dc33fyg3cpd9r58vlqge2hh8dy6hkkrjxkhluv2xpyfreqkmsesesyv6e)
Found out about this recently; Google is our hosting provider (via Replit), which is probably the issue.
Currently working on updating dependencies and some performance improvements, but once that's done, the next focus will be on rolling out Tor-native and self-hostable (start9, Umbrel) instances for more resiliency.
Nice!
Yes! 💜
sure why not?
Yes. Then I can delete FB.
Will Nostr marketplaces completely disrupt Facebook Marketplace/Craigslist in the next few years?
Posting memes to stack sats then using those sats to buy a couch to post more memes on 🔥🔥 #THEFUTURE
Sure.

I'm interested in the concept, but have reservations as to actually doing such a thing.
No … 😂 trying to spicing things up in this thread
👍
Yes 💯 - part of the issue I've found with #Vexl is that I don't share or collect mobile numbers. My circle of trust using mobile numbers is very small.
My npub based circle of trust would be exponentially larger even though I'm quite careful with who I follow.
Even if a vendor creates a second npub for selling their wares, they should still appear if they follow their vendor npub.
This is the part of Nostr that excites me the most. It would drive both the use of Nostr & Bitcoin while facilitating private & free trade. 🔥
Maybe not food, but almost everything else.
Would be interested...a la A Lodging of Wayfaring Men
Yes, out of a sense of duty.
Made 1 purchase, with plans on making more in the future.
Is it really a marketplace if u cant buy kycfree dollars? Or kyc free bitcoin?
Cars 🏎️ 💨 and motorcycles 🏍️

You're asking if silkroad was popular back in the days?
I mean, come on, people LOVE free markets.
yes
Yes, if they accept Lightning.
Give me one good reason not to. I’m waiting…..
No..I was struck how simple it was to scroll through a post from nostr:npub17nd4yu9anyd3004pumgrtazaacujjxwzj36thtqsxskjy0r5urgqf6950x with a bunch of paintings listed. The option to contact direct to discuss price and do a deal all p2p, no middleman.
A marketplace, as in a list of trusted suppliers, should be a personally compiled thing.
I speak as the opposite of a consumer monster, most of my purchases are on food, and I try to keep it local. So my list of purchases is probably not as extensive as yours :)
I think so, although I'm trying to cut back on purchases so I can stack harder.
