If possible, though I tend to buy open platforms like purism and system76 and last I checked they don't accept it.

I just buy used Thinkpads and install Linux. I like System 76 but feel I get more for my money from a used laptop.

it only makes sense to get a new computer if it is not doing what you need it to. So unless you started gaming or something on new AAA titles I doubt you need it.

Getting a framework laptop next? I have been using Thinkpad T series since the T60, but the quality and repairability seems to get worse with every new model that comes out.

From the reviews and buzz around it they seem like a good choice, still a bit of "beta" feel to it. Hope it's still around by the time my current thinkpad needs replacing
