What really grinds my gears at the grocery store are all the items marketed as healthy food.

Granola bars? Mostly sugar.

Fruit juices? Mostly sugar.

"Low fat" versions of products? Stuffed with sugar.

And of course, pretty much all of the processed stuff has high fructose corn syrup or seed oils added.

Sounds like you need to meditate more 😂

Yup, most things at the store are junk. We try to grow our own or buy from locals.

like ensure being marketed as "therapeutic nutrition" while it contains as much sugar at a hot fudge sundae. advertising that as a healthy meal replacement should be criminal.

Be wary of products that only advertise what they do **not** contain.

When convinced that carbs are bad, it's almost impossible to find anything edible in a supermarket.

It's also not only food. Shampoo with 95% natural ingredients. WTH is the non-natural ingredient then? Where is the line?

It’s insanity.

Meat, bad, eggs bad

Canola oil, heart healthy

🤮

Thus begineth lopp homestead

Aye samesies! Bought a protein bar from Whole foods that had the Non GMO , no sugar, healthy flags but had erythritol in it 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤬

They've got a healthy star system over here.

It's a freaking joke. 4/5 stars for diet soft drink.

Has arrived in the organic food niche now too: sugar, glucosesyrup, sunflower, rice syrup. They stuff it in everything, they hunt you if you try to avoid their poisons. There is not a single brand of bacon which doesn't add sugar in the organic shop, or anywhere.

Go read up on emulsifiers in food and add another one to your list. Cutting these was better for me than seed oils.

Agreed. Need to get closer to the source of the food and avoid the store

Mexico requires markets to have massive and obvious excessive sugar, sodium, saturated fats, trans fats, and/or calories labels. We should do something like that.

How can that be when the wrapper says it was made on ‘Nature Valley Happy Healthy Farm’??

Totally agree. That's the way

Don’t buy stuff with the word INGREDIENTS on the package.

If it’s in a package 📦 it’s probably not heathy

Especially if you go to cheaper grocery stores... it all feels like buying and eating garbage.

It’s just marketing
