Been burning ridiculous amounts of wood (trees and trees and trees) since 2018 at hunting camp in a 3’ diameter fire ring. It might of risen 6”. It is wild how much the ash compacts. Lots of beverages at that pit!

Eco-friendly but not really practical for a regular house usage. It’s designed for cabins and holiday homes, common in Norway.

Been around for quite some time in Norway. pretty common to use if you have a cabin somewhere more remote
remote places in Norway will often only have electricity and no water. makes it very efficient and useful, and you don’t need to empty it as often as a compost toilet, I believe.
Summer house has one, and it works great. Some once a season maintenance required but otherwise a good option if you have electricity but no sewage hookup. Don't run out of the paper liners though...
