Trying to understand what just happened between Trump and Zelenskyy:
- Trump claims WW3 could happen if peace deal isn't reached
- Trump ends the meeting early and kicks Zelenskyy out because Zelenskyy was disrespectful
I'm no statesman but if WW3 is on the line I think tolerance for disrespect would be wise to reach the necessary conclusion?

If Zelensky was disrespectful it's because he doesn't want peace, and he keeps saying he doesn't want peace. It was the courteous thing to have him to the White House at all, give him a chance.
If I were president I'd offer his head to Putin in exchange for some concession, no matter how minor the concession. Win win for everyone all around.
Trump had a deal ready to be signed with Zelenskyy, where USA would rebuild Ukraine, protect ukraine, and negotiate an end to the war for Ukraine, in exchange for the rights for US companies to extract natural resources from Ukraine, and keep the profits. Then, for 40 min Zelenskyy kept walking back the deal, asking for more compromises, saying that he wants more of this that and another thing, and trump kept entertaining him saying okay we will see, and suggesting all those things could still be negotiated even tho the deal was pretty much already drawn up.
Then at the end of the meeting, Trump and Vance wanted to shit on the Biden administration for mismanaging world events and having the war start in the first place. They accused Biden of just talking tough and giving money and weapons but not actually solving the problem, but then Zelenskyy wanted to defend Bidenās administration, and then suggested that the last time trump was president he didnāt do anything to stop Russia, who had already taken over Crimea, and give Crimea back to Ukraine. Vance took offense to such things, demanded a simple thank you for trump, which Zelenskyy refused to give, pissing Trump off. Then Zelenskyy started talking back to Trump, cutting him off, and essentially blew up the deal by being disrespectful and suggesting no deal is good enough except for a surrender and withdrawal by Russia, which Trump refers to as playing cards for world war 3.

Of course they were, arms deals, having US companies and person operating, as well as US economic interests in Ukraine IS a security guarantee. One that avoids the Russias red line of NATO expansion and article five type alliances.
Well, you do not understand what security guarantee is either. What you talking about is support. Guarantee is exactly like nato article 5. actual deterrent from the future attack. Economic interest is as unrelated to security as it could be. Lets take an example of trumps economic interest in gaza. Thatās actual 180 from security in that case. Also, donāt be naive and think that putin wouldnāt attack america if he had a chance. So far he doesnāt but heās well on the way on achieving decades long plan of internal destabilizing usa. My 2c is that this is just pressure to have Zelensky step down and hold new elections. Idk much about the conflict but nobody seems to be a fan of him anymore.
