Agreed. I tend to miss using knobs. Smart appliances become so cumbersome bc they take 20min to figure out and need an app to use.

My dryer plays a thirty second song when it’s done- a simple ding would suffice.

This is refinement culture when the invention itself cannot be invented more, I think.
