Tldr.

So sorry that happened to you or whatever.

The fact that the entire thing could have fit in a single note is proof that nostr is better

nostr:nevent1qqs0zfuse7v553y55clvjwmefy5khz6yzfkj9lqk3kqhw2mzakxmq2spz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7q3qk979np6dcpwh7mkfwk7wq3msezml48fh7wksp9hakakf8pwk3y5qxpqqqqqqz0wpluj

I just read fiatjaf's recent blog post, and then this. If these posts were supposed to make bluesky sound better than fiatjaf made it out to be, well, they sure didn't.

Nostr is my home. There will be bridges I'm sure.

There already is somewhat of a hacky Nostr-Bluesky bridge I've been using. For example, here's Bluesky CEO Jay Graber's profile on nostr:

nostr:npub1fnduppkq0yksf8pk85n7lrxlh8wej7y8lj063qaq4ypkp90qkm2qzgqhhn

and here's how it's done:

Reading through this makes me worried

ā€œ intentionally structure conversationsā€

Also they do not intend to be small players but a global player - 2 things out of this :

1. Fiatjaf is right - there can’t be other clients with fair playing field on AT protocol if bluesky controls AT and bluesky wants to be global dominance

2. Narrowing control by a few large players lead to monopolisation and centralisation.

At stopped reading at "But we gotta censor!"

All I see is we threw in the towel and gave up.

> then you're asking for anarchy, which means no resource sharing and an overwhelming amount of pairwise relationship.

That doesn't seem to be the case with the current Nostr experience.

A guy who puts "but we need to censor!" at the top of his list of "arguments" (which I don't have time to read) is exactly the type of guy who will systematically mix up anarchy (absence of top-down hierarchy) with chaos, and voluntary association with sum zero individualism.

Are there any #bluesky devs on Nostr? I feel like a lot of assumptions were made in that post. Also, the emphasis on ā€œcuration and moderationā€ makes me think that they are going to end up using the same algorithms as #Twitter. Bluesky is looking more like a Twitter with each passing day.
