Most people tend towards infinity.
More fucked than we are now, but probably not so bad, because if not Bitcoin, something similar would have been invented in its place.
I’m not sure I agree with that unless you believe that bitcoin was always inevitable. It seems almost implausible that it would have happened without all of the trial and error of economic radicals, cypherpunks, and psychopaths who caught on and carried the torch.
That's basically what I'm saying, the economic situation around that time, the cypherpunks...all that would still be there. So perhaps something similar to bitcoin would have been delayed by a few years, but it's basically inevitable. Similar to the rise of the machines in the Terminator franchise.
