I'd quite like to see a mead revival.

Do Americans drink the stuff?

Can I get there on the tube?

It’s a hyper-niche hobbyist drink in the US still. The only guys I know who make mead in the US started with sourdough, then went to kombucha, then mead.

It's pretty niche in the UK too

We did some zap tests on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at garrett@renderbitcoin.com, over a period of 24 minutes. In each case, we found that your lightning address server did not respond correctly. We recommend that you use a cloud-based Lightning node which is optimized for Nostr zaps, to get your zaps working.

Try it now. I need a test zappy-poo

It worked this time! Latency was not so great, but the zap receipt was produced!

Out here doing the Lord’s work. Thank you

Is that what we’re calling Natty Light these days?

I do but it’s hard to find quality mead in the US. Most tastes like wet cardboard. I know of a couple of places that do it well. Most do not.

I used to brew it. Made a really nice chocolate mead once.

There's a brewery where I am at that was called Viking Bra ggot, and I was very, very excited when they first started. Unfortunately, they kept cutting corners and cutting corners, and they took the Braggot out of their name.

They would do meads occasionally as well, but I would really like to see a revival of Braggots and a good mead as well.

But yes, in short, Americans do drink that stuff. Some of us at least

I used to brew a braggot mead with cascade hops it was outstanding.

Yes 🤙

It's good stuff. I took a tour of a meadery a couple years ago and got into it. It's still pretty niche.

I love mead

Yes, I brew a batch every year.
