How do I copy my private key (without compromising it) from Amethyst to the nos2x extension on my laptop? Is manually the current best option?

unless your phone is malware laden, i think you'll be ok copying and pasting it on device. just copy text immediately afterwards to clear it from your clipboard.

Thanks for the reply Derek. I want to copy it from one device to a web client on another device.

I guess using a password manager is the way to go for that then?

Consider rewriting it manually... The private key isn't that long.

Unless you have keylogger in the new device, this would avoid transfer over Internet.

You can send encrypted messages to yourself and then delete them with a variety of apps like Signal or SimpleX. I do this.

You could also put it in a password manager. This is probably the best option. I do this too 🤣

Manually is best BUT you could use something like #sendstr https://sendstr.com/ , for a little more security you could also copy/paste most of the key and then manually type in the rest OR send 1/2 the key using email and the other half of the key using some other method like #sendstr.
