Damus and Primal are connecting you to Nostr. Think of it like connecting to the internet via a PC or an Apple. Doesnβt matter the device, same internet. So if you end up not like one, you can move to the other and keep profile.

Relays are like postal services that make copies of your messages and distribute them when your followers ask for them. No.
They also give you copies of messages they got from people you follow.
In other words, they are public postal services.
Ironically, it's more similar to postal services than "email" (you don't need "user and password" to send/receive physical mail).
And clients are like typewriters. Apps like Damus, Amethyst and Nostrudel are "clients".
So, when you communicate through Nostr, you're communicating with the world, or at least the portion of it that you follow/follows you.
After youβve been here awhile Iβd suggest tossing some sats a developer you enjoy. π

Anything you post on one client (damus, primal amythest, etc) will be viewable on all other clients. And it gets better... your identity and history also follows you from one client to the next.
The magic sauce is that Nostr is a protocol, not an app.
Your Client (primal, damus etc) is used to read/write to the Nostr Protocol
Sorta like how your Browser (chrome, safari etc) is used to read/write to the Internet (TCP/IP)
