Alby Hub uses LDK on the back end. It’s a lightweight way to run Lightning without all the dependencies.
I’m sure nostr:npub1zk6u7mxlflguqteghn8q7xtu47hyerruv6379c36l8lxzzr4x90q0gl6ef or nostr:npub1xv8mzscll8vvy5rsdw7dcqtd2j268a6yupr6gzqh86f2ulhy9kkqmclk3x can explain how it works better than I can, but it doesn’t require you to run a full node or sync the blockchain locally, so you can have it up and running in just a few minutes.
That’s right, we run a bitcoin node for LDK to fetch blockchain data. But you can also run fully without dependencies if you connect it to your own bitcoin core (by default Start9 and Umbrel run like this)
