Listening to this TGFN pod and the idea of Notedeck as a nostr browser, where, just like webapps have a DOM and JS APIs, nostr apps would have a readily available local relay, signer and even UI primitives.
The idea implies an app marketplace, but marketplaces are notoriously hard to pull off.
In this sense nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 has advantages: 1) it is not restricted to nostr so demand is higher, 2) it builds on established distribution formats like APK, so the supply side can be "growth hacked" to break the chicken-and-egg problem.
What if we also make Zapstore a nostr app runner? Expose these apps to potentially many more users, leverage binary verification and all that zs provides?
If NIP-01 is used to access the local relay and NIP-55 or similar to access the signer, then Zapstore as a WASM runtime + Citrine + Amber might just work.
