How would you describe your state of mind during the fasts?
And have you come across any sleep suggestions? (after just one day of dry fasting, my sleep is terrible!)
I do regular 5 day dry fasts and they are much easier than water fasts. Contrary to conventional opinion, you don't die on day 3 😃
The energy on refeeding days is awesome, but the state of mind that you get into during the fast is also very interesting. My hypothesis is that it might be due to vasopressin interacting with oxytocin receptors coupled with elevated dopamine. First of all, very calm and more introspective. But I also have a more loving disposition towards others and I'm less irritable, typically starting on day 3. Regarding sleep, I don't have any good suggestions - my sleep always gets shorter and more shallow during the fast. If you have the luxury of a flexible schedule, it is best to simply get up whenever you wake up naturally and then sleep during the day, whenever you feel tired.
Yes, very much agree with that 🫡
