Some 50 years ago, McDonald's cooked its fries in beef fat. When it switched over to a vegetable oil blend, it didn't want the fries to lose their famous flavor, so they opted to add natural beef flavor to the blend. Hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk are used as starting ingredients of the flavoring ๐คก๐

Something is broken, I agree. My typical example are hotel rooms 2 years ago and now in Germany. If you want a hotel room in e.g. Berlin it has gone up at least 3x

I remember those days. The food was real back then too.
Once when I was a kid. My mom sat me on the counter at McDonalds while she ordered. On the menu it said SMILES ... FREE. So I think its some kind of cookie so i hold my hand out and say "Smiles are free? Can I have one?". So the girl behind the counter smiles at me. But all I'm focusing on is that nothing was put in my hand. So I repeat "Smiles please!". And I start opening and closing my hand. So she gives me a giant goofball of a small so I point in my hand "Put it here." . Which is when my mother barked that she was smiling and to stop bothering her.
They ended convertibility of U.S. dollars to gold. So the $ lost his value by the day since.
It is even more malicious though because back in the day they used to cook with tallow instead of seed oils
