12 hours with no power. Candles everywhere. Bundled up in an old hoodie. Portable chargers half dead. I'm going to have to start sending notes over smoke signal soon.

Incredible. Hope it comes back soonπ€
Is there a NIP for carrier pigeon s yet?
No, avian carrier is transport/network layer. That's why there's an RFC. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc1149

If you need to borrow a generator DM me. If you are where I think you are I'm like 90 minutes away.
Nostr needs it's CEO. π
I'll be good man. Thank you. I assume the food in the fridge is fucked at this point, but the deep freezer will stay cold for days so that's good. Appreciate it.
Been there. We lost power for 8 hours or so on the coldest day this winter. Generator broke but had a spare stationed at a families house. Learned a lot from the experience.
The upper limit on fridge temp is usually about 40. The low tonight here is about that. You might be able to save stuff by moving it outside π€· ... North side of the house will be cooler.
As one who routinely deals with hurricanes i cannot understate the utility of car chargers, especially if your vehicle will charge a phone without being turned on.
Would also recommend looking into a 120V inverter for vehicle after this passes. Rather have and not need...
I'm sure you're aware, but worth saying. Candles start fires. Keep a garden hose handy to wet down your exterior in case your neighbors house lights up.
