Hey devs, if you suck at communicating with people, have someone else do your customer interactions. You shouldn't be yelling at people having problems with your software in a public forum if you want to maintain a professional air and actually have folks use your product.

He’s not wrong. 😑

Depends how much the product costs

Nah. It shouldn't. People deserve basic respect.

But it does.

Zero income $ = Unfunded open source projects can’t afford a PR hire. Good luck with that dev team. 👍🏼

Making profit $$ = Some small businesses and funded startups might care about customer satisfaction enough to invest in a PR team that actually listens. 🤔

Big Tech $$$ = Software that MOST people use on a daily basis has no relationship with customer feedback. They make it. We buy it. End of story. 🍎

And also … closing the customer feedback loop in any meaningful way is HARD.

I get it, I really do. But like, common decency goes a long way toward problem solving because hot tempers do not an easy solution make.

This is why we have Nostr. To cool those hot tempers with a few friendly faces.

You aren't wrong, buddy.

fuck professional

but also fuck assholes who say "it works on my end"

Nope. Be genuine or gftooh.

Hire a PR director & then punch urself directly in the cunt. Thx. 🙏

You can be genuine and also professional. This matters to folks looking to invest in clients, etc. My husband is the world's worst at talking to people but he's great at back of house. I worked in retail management for years. That's why I'm the face and he's the force.

I second this…HARD
