Consistency is not possible or desirable. Consistency is a bug of centralized systems.
Discussion
So be used to the chaos of nostr time line, breathe and relax ….~
Consistency is "False Peace"
Consistency of effort or results?
Food for thought, to say the least!
Flexibility is much more important than consistency
It's a feature of postgres clusters
People like their boxes. They need practice with paradox & flexibility.
💯- long vol
But consistency also produces trust.
At least Thomas Aquinas would say that (if you include the therefore necessary Gottvertrauen).
At lot of religions would teach it differently. Consistency is desirable but also tyrannical.
That‘s why there is Yin AND Yang.
Consistency to foundational values is important.
Consistency in work schedule can be both a benefit and a drawback. If my performance drops too low compared with my peak then I probably don't want to work on tasks that require full focus. Switching work tasks to those that are most suitable to our current performance is a good habit.
As for angle of approach, some degree of chaos, change and creativity is useful.
Eventually... 🤣
Hmmm …
bugs produce unexpected outcomes , what's the unexpected outcome of consistency?
Yes everyone has his own view of the world but we all share this one world and that gives the greatest potential for each individual to find his community. If you agree with this, then a centralized network is more useful as it provides the highest discoverability.
I see there is a inherent bottleneck to federated networks, that data on server/relay nodes can not be searched efficiently because nodes do not share a world view so data cannot be indexed.
It is refreshing to see nostr to take an entirely different approach to not deal with inter-relay synchronizations at all.
