heads up, users of Alby Wallet extension- the wallet is being deprecated and you have to move your funds in the next week

this is my favorite lightning wallet since you can sign into all the apps

How do we do this? Do you have a link to a website or video where I can walk through the process of how to do it myself

I don’t wanna pay 120 bucks a year to host the alby hub wallet

If you have an Umbrel node (I think Start 9 has it too) it's relatively easy, there's an Alby app you use with the Lightning node app.

you can run it yourself.

or use some other wallet like coinos with the Extension.

And for Nostr the extension also works without a wallet.

Oh wait so I link the external wallet to to the Alby account and then obviously the Alby account is able to connect to Damus?

I dont know if this is necessary but I would start by transfering the Alby balance on the Coinos account. After, I would connect both account copying the Coinos NWC string connection in Alby. That way, you can keep using your Alby extension and Alby lightning adress.
