hahaha. You are misreading the post. I am one of those people that can't write good and keeps getting corrected. It's not about eliticism. It's about making sure what I wrote actually describes what I want to describe.

Man, this is going to be a hard battle.

That's how you see it. That's fine. But... You did something that can, and, IMO, will be abused, especially as nostr grows. This is the kind of thing that will allow people to be more "influencer-like" which isn't what I want to see here. I like it here because things were mostly permanent. Long time preference is a much better frame of mind than being able to "correct" things and spin them off in weird directions.

Again, you're obviously free to do what you want. But, I think the way you went about it by changing a fundamental part of the protocol was the wrong thing to do. You could have created a new NIP or worked with one of the already editable parts of the protocol to achieve this end. You chose expedience over compatability.

We are not changing the protocol for this. Nostr is not a Twitter clone. Twitter clones are just one of the ways to **use** the protocol for. And some Twitter clones can have edits or might not have. The protocol remains the same.

There will be many more changes to "Twitter" clones that you might not like it. Some app can do zaps with Ethereum, for instance. None of these things are Nostr. They are just applications (or features) on top of Nostr.

Remember this?

Yep, but that wasn't my answer. :)

Right.

but you are opening a Pandora's box...
