Strike is the bank for Bitcoiners: the net producers building a better tomorrow.

manifesting a product design internship at strike
When strike puts out a credit card I'm cancelling everything else
what features would you need on a credit card? i still can’t tell if it’s worth building
It would be nice to have a credit score be useful with a bitcoin company. Say a credit line that is based on trad credit score and a btc balance with btc back.
Equivalent “cash back” rate to your basic AMEX card, but in BTC. Paying the card balance directly from BTC.
what’s wrong with your AMEX? why do you need us to build a card?
You’re right I don’t need it. My AMEX works fine.
The only advantage for me personally would be not needing to convert BTC to/from USDCoin
And I don’t even bother selling BTC to pay my CC bill. But if I could pay the CC directly from BTC, I would hold a lot less USD month to month.
Id also add Think long term - I can buy, sell, loan against and spend btc p2p if you want a customer to trade their bank for strike offer a card in your ecosystem which would be done the strike way. That's the checking account and every bitcoiners savings account is and should be cold storage.
Thanks for polling NOSTR 🍻🔥
3% sats back. May be too steep an ask though. Anything less than that, just a normal cash back credit card is likely better
Yes
yeah those don’t make any money and i don’t know why we would be better at giving you cash back than AMEX.
i know it sounds good but i wonder if there is any substance to why we’d be better for Bitcoiners. buying bitcoin, getting a loan, yield on cash, etc makes sense
Then do a debet card and let me spend fiat or my SATs at normal vendors - I don't use credit cards anymore as miles and lounges are worthless to me especially if I could earn even a small amount of SATs back. That's how you compete with AMX give the reward in SATs which for Bitcoiners is better then anything credit card companies can offer... 1% in SATs or 3% in fiat? Id rather have the SATs
I literally just want a card that let's me use my BTC balance with normie vendors
I'd take a debit card
Same for me.
Im the same - I use fold for the ability to spend fiat and stack SATs
If strike made a credit card that could give me even a small reward in SATs and allow me to post btc as credit or just pay my statement in btc I'd drop fold and be a strike only customer
I don't use a traditional bank anymore strike and fold are my only "banks" and they are much better
F jpmorgan / chase - was my last account and closed it after they debanked u 👌
we need a card so we can ditch our legacy bank cards! we need to pay daily stuff with it
It's not.
I'd prefer just a card (debit/secured credit) that I could use to tap the upcoming secured Line Of Credit product. Just like paying a yearly insurance or tax bill, then switch my other direct deposit over from Fold and drop them, and repay with weekly paycheck
I cited you as an example of transparent leadership this week
The only thing keeping me from closing my bank account is Zelle. I don't like using it but I find I have to for kids' sports and schools and dealing with normies. Is there a way around this other than refusing to pay with zelle?
This was posted a couple months ago by nostr:nprofile1qqsfnnh6v3dspqtnwv3e46aed5k3nypyfx2wtet92ekg9szt3hr9k4qp99mhxue69uhkummnw3erzd3hxcenzwf4xcmnzdes9eshqupwwf6kummwvek827pwd9hszynhwden5te0wp6hyurvv4cxzeewv4es6we92h who figured out you can link Strike through Venmo, so if you can Venmo vs. Zelle to those various things, you can pretty much use Strike for everything.
Benefits of Strike KYC vs no KYC?
A debit card is what's missing. And loans in Virginia. I have fold and coinbase debit cards but don't use either because the rest of the features are shit and no money is stored there
Strike is my international btc account in digital space. Made my local banks from germany obsolet. Cheers from europe thanks for making this possible jack 🫵🫡🧡🗽
So called Bitcoiners putting all their eggs in this Bitcoin bank.
Meanwhile shitting on Monero. Take a look at the mirror you hypocrites.
I like your idea from years back about the debit card. I still need physical cash (very good for privacy) and transferring from strike to a bank account is either slow or I have to pay that instant withdrawal fee. I’m not sure what the limitations are on strikes end, but I’d prefer that over a credit card. I can easily just strike bill pay my credit cards.
The strike credit card would be more of a novelty IMO. You’re right, it’s hard to compete with rewards from other credit cards. My rewards points already get converted to BTC at the end of the month.
