How is using another physical device to sign notes not sacrificing convenience?
Because I can be out and about posting and my nsec is elsewhere somewhere safe
So it stays in your home network and you vpn in when youβre away?
I don't understand the question?
The signer needs to be online somewhere so it can connect to the relay, I'm online elsewhere and connected to the relay, i publish a note that is sent through the relay to the signer. Use a vpn on both sides, use a public relay or your own. Hopefully that answers it?
Ok I guess I misunderstood the part where it connects to the specific relay from your home network and then your mobile device connects to the same relay from anywhere and it can sign your notes. Did I say that right?
Looking great, nostr:nprofile1qqsvrlrhw86l5sv06wkyjgs6rrcekskvk7nx8k50qn9m7mqgeqxjpvgpzpmhxue69uhh5cts9emkzarrdqhszfs7e3
How about connecting fall back relays in case of downtime? Would it be possible?
With your current setup I assume you would have to return to your signer at home to be able to setup a new relay in the menu, right?
Watched with half an eye and it looked like the device is signing without any configuration? So it's blind signing everything? So if primal was compromised, it would also decrypt all your messages etc?

Would it be possible to have something like this for mobile bitcoin / lightning wallets? Would be amazing to have such a device as a co signer so the mobile wallet would become a 2 of 2 signer like Muuun wallet does but with full

Do these remote signers send your home IP address to the relays you connect to?
I use a small router that sits behind my main router to vpn all network traffic, was only about Β£20.
Should prob do a follow up video for that kind of setup. You can also use an old pi and wireguard for such things.
This is awesome. A nice next step might be integrated TOR for both private routing and an onion address instead of needing to configure domains and routing/forwarding.
Not only would that be great for privacy, it would make an awesome out-of-the box experience for less technical users
Although there may be no reason for the onion address, given how NWC works π€·ββοΈ
very cool π€
