You are completely underestimating how much grand creative energy is just someone being so pissed off about something that they decide to build dramatically something better.
It actually takes a looooonnngg time, lots of blood, sweat and tears, in order to build something dramatically better. And nobody will pay you to do it because you're That Girl or That Guy who wouldn't stop complaining and nobody likes, anyway, because your idea is so wild that it sounds ridiculous.
You have to stay frustrated and spiteful and a bit arrogant for a very long time, and channel that energy into work.
It has to keep you up at night.
It has to wake you up in the morning.
It has to upset your social life.
It has to make your food taste bland.
It has to invade your dreams.
It has to hurt your day job.
It has to cause you to lose friends and upset people.
It has to drive you, or you will never get where you want to go.
