How so? Writing style, theme? What's the draw?

I don't understand what people liked about Cormac McCarthy's End of the Road. Some good father/son moments, I guess, but overall I've never seen a more bleak and depressing film. Perhaps the book was better? (I didn't know it was a book first until after I'd seen the film).

Tomorrow is the 4th annual Ross seafood boil. We started out as a 2020 COVID-19 gathering, as everything was closed, it was a way for my circle of friends to get together and enjoy life. This event has turned into a large annual event with several families.

I spent all afternoon noon preparing. From patio cleaning, to splitting wood, to yard work, to cleaning out the garage, I am beyond tired. But everything is ready. All seafood and other ingredients have been bought. Maybe I'll add my recipe to nostr.cooking later... 👀

Wine

We'll have lots of other seafood sides too. l'll be steaming cherrystone clams on the grill and my mother is making clam chowder. A friend is making bacon wrapped scallops.

I was literally just thinking this morning how all farmers (real farmers) and like bitcoiners. The real ones will “just get it” immediately.

But see thing is , you look like a maniac now , slapping and laughing for no reason...

#HypotheticalSituation for fun :

You are sitting at a restaurant, and you look across the dining area and you see a mother and her darling newborn baby.

The waitress floats past the two , and gives a warm smile to the both of them , which they return. A lovely little scene, mother and child .

Then the baby pukes on the mother, par for the course with little babies , a few other diners notice this and there is a lot of laughs and ewws and ahhs and so on , and then when everyone has returned to their meal , you notice something that nobody else does . . .

Very quickly the mother sticks her fingers down her throat and pukes all over the baby in retaliation . It all happens in the blink of an eye and you are quite certain that you are the only one who noticed this .

How do you progress from there , like what would you do ?
