Very true. Case in point, last year I built a farmhouse dining room table for my family all by myself. Looks great and I wouldn't ever trade it for an even nicer store-bought version.

Stupid simple if you get the Rpi from adafruit with the pins already attached. Verifying The software download can be a bit more of a challenge if you're not tech savvy, but the instructions are good. so, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
When all is said and done, it feels great to know that your BTC is secure and completely under your control.
