Anyone on iPhone/iPad having trouble loading replies with Safari? Only sporadically I can get it to load (some) replies, most of the time it's just top level posts with no indication there are replies.

Makes it look like this place is completely dead when it's not.

I believe so too. Won't be easy and the ecosystem needs to grow much more but there will be a tipping point where everything just goes vertical.

BChat could be the tool to help spread more awareness and adoption while providing a decentralize social media experience.

Inviting (crypto) content creators to give it a try?

I was only half-joking when I posted about having C-Zar post hist chart analysis on here.

BChat might be the tool to get people like him, who probably just hodl BCH on an exchange, to actually use it as P2P cash.

Image uploads would be very cool. But hosting is the tricky part since nostr relays aren't built for this

I think a seamlessly integrated BChat hosting service could work for this where users either pay extra for posts containing media or pay a monthly fee and get X number of uploads every month.

Interesting, I must admit I haven't used Claude in a while so might have to check it out again.

Can't wait for C-Zar to get on here sharing his takes. 📈

Need GIF embedding support so I can post a "BCHAT BCHAT BCHAT" John Carvalho like GIF but with Jeremy instead.

URL detection logic might be broken, tapping the generated link for this image tries to load an URL that ends in 'crop:x-20' at which point in the real URL there's a comma character, seems it thinks that's where the URL ends.

Like notifications always say "Someone @anon" liked your post? Seems to work for replies. Is this because for a reply the user information is available on nostr and likes are just txs without any metadata?

Hello sir! Welcome aboard, it's still a bit of a bumpy ride but I'm sure it'll improve.

Profiles are stored on nostr entirely I believe so I get why it only accepts a URL for now since it's mostly just a proof of concept and keeps it so BChat doesn't need any custom backend. It's all nostr and the BCH chain (through Fulcrum)

🔥 Can't wait, I'm hungry!

It didn't really change the way I handle money but it sure does feel great knowing that every time I use it there's no 3rd party/government involved that knows my identity or can block or otherwise interfere with this transaction. It's happening on my terms whether they like it or not. Feels good.

Txcity is able to detect memo txs because they always have an OP_RETURN output. BChat txs don’t need it since posts aren’t stored on-chain but on nostr relays.

Adding an extra output to every tx just so txcity can recognize it doesn’t seem appropriate.

Number of paid likes/replies really are the best proxy and pretty accurately reflect interactions now since amounts are fixed but a single big tip also gets added to that number? Could be nice to distinguish between an actual “hot” post or a single whale just tipping an insane number.

Yeah I like it too how they are just ordinary txs. Seems wasteful to add an output just for this. Perhaps add it to the Selene stats backend at one point to keep track of progress? But if it takes off the increase in average block size would be enough visualization for me.

Entire post/replies are stored on the blockchain with memo right? Always turned me off, not sure every “lol” and emoji has to be included in a block.

BChat uses nostr for posts and blockchain strictly for txs.

Every action on BChat is just a regular tx, no special outputs that can be used by txcity to identify them as BChat related.
